Programm

You’ve mastered your science. Now it’s time to master how you talk about it. Because no matter how strong your research is, if others don’t understand it, they won’t support it. If you've ever found it hard to explain your work in a way that feels structured, relatable, and clear – you're not alone. In this interactive online session, we’ll change that.

You’ll learn two practical conversation tools that will help you speak about your work with more clarity, confidence, and purpose:

  • The Self-Intro Script: using the What – How – Why method to introduce yourself in a way that sticks.
  • The Stakeholder Talk Script: a simple guide to connect with people outside your research bubble (think funders, grant agencies, partners, industry, collaborators).

This session is designed around active learning: You won’t just listen – you’ll try things out, reflect, and walk away with something that’s yours.

After the session, you’ll:

  • Have your own version of a clear, authentic self-introduction
  • Know how to navigate first conversations with stakeholders
  • Understand what makes communication effective – even without slides
  • Get a simple template you can refine and re-use

This is for PhDs, Postdocs and early-career researchers in the life sciences who want to build a communication skill that’s rarely taught – but often expected: Talking about your research in a way that others get – and remember.

The training will be held in English. Seats are limited.
